To best protect your child and their hearing, the CDC recommends that you: 1 Keep your child away from objects that generate a lot of noise, such as a vacuum cleaner or hair dryer and live venues such as concerts and sporting events where noise levels can be exceptionally high for prolonged periods of time. 2 Lower the volume on all media such as the TV, stereo and computer 3 Listen to your child’s toys and if it hurts your ears, it will hurt theirs.
